Nemerc is a fabric trading company headquartered in Shaoxing, China. This policy explains what information we collect through nemerc.trade, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it. The short version: we collect what you type into the inquiry form, we use it to answer you, and we don't run analytics or advertising trackers.

What we collect

When you send an inquiry or request a quote, we receive what you enter in the form: your name, email address, and message, plus your company name and country if you provide them, and the fabrics you selected from the catalog. That is the only personal information the public site asks for. There are no accounts or payments on nemerc.trade itself; clients we invite to our client portal are covered in the portal section below.

Like almost every website, our infrastructure provider processes technical data such as your IP address to serve pages, block abusive traffic, and rate-limit automated requests. We don't use this data to identify or profile visitors.

What we use it for

We use your inquiry to reply to you: prices, lead times, sampling, and follow-up on the same conversation. Your inquiry is delivered to our email inbox and recorded in our customer relationship system so the person handling your request has the context. We don't sell personal information, we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing, and we won't add you to a mailing list you didn't ask for.

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal basis for this processing is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to and keeping records of business inquiries.

Client portal

Existing clients can be given an account on our client portal at portal.nemerc.trade, which runs on the same Odoo system as our CRM. Accounts are created by us, by invitation — there is no public sign-up. A portal account holds your login details and the records of our business together: quotations, orders, invoices, and deliveries. We process this data to perform our contract with you, and we keep transaction records for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Everything else in this policy — your rights, how to reach us — applies to portal data too.

Who handles the data

Three service providers touch inquiry data on our behalf:

• Cloudflare hosts the site and screens form submissions for automated abuse (Cloudflare Turnstile). Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses on its global network.
• Google (Gmail) delivers your inquiry to our inbox, where it is stored like ordinary business email.
• Our CRM (Odoo, running on our own server) stores the inquiry as a sales lead.

Because we operate from China and use these international providers, your information may be processed outside the country you live in, including in China, the United States, and the European Union.

Cookies and local storage

We don't set tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't run analytics. The site stores three things in your browser's local storage: your theme choice (light or dark), your language choice, and the list of fabrics you've selected for a quote. These stay on your device and are only sent to us when you submit the form. Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the inquiry form from bots, may set a cookie of its own as part of that check.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as we might do business together — an inquiry from last year is often the start of this year's order. If nothing comes of it, or if you ask us to, we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise any of these, email us — we reply to privacy requests the same way we reply to fabric inquiries, within one business day.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information — for example, if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
